New solo piece by Hans Abrahamsen

During the past 3-4 years I have developed a fruitful professional and friendly relationship with composer Hans Abrahamsen. The most recently written chapter in our common story is about Hans’s saxophone piece Gush from 1974 that Hans not long ago started to imagine being played on a clarinet. Together we began working on a version of Gush for clarinet which has ended up in a piece in its own right: Gush for clarinet solo (2023). I premiered the piece at a solo recital I gave on Hindsgavl Festival on the 12th of July 2023, and the second performance took place on the occasion of the release event for my album SOLO ALONE AND MORE.
